Accessibility Statement.
The Pooch Pit wants this website to work for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Last updated: July 30, 2026
We're committed to making our website accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive differences.
What we've done
- Built the site with clear, semantic structure and headings so screen readers can navigate it.
- Made pages and the booking form usable with a keyboard, not just a mouse.
- Labelled form fields and buttons so their purpose is clear.
- Added text descriptions to meaningful images.
- Chosen colours and text sizes with readability and contrast in mind, and made the layout work when zoomed or on small screens.
- Avoided relying on colour alone to communicate important information.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time task. We review the site as we make changes and work to fix issues as we find them. Some content or third-party tools may not yet be fully accessible, and we're continually working to improve.
