These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use this website and book grooming services with The Pooch Pit ("we," "us," or "our"). By requesting an appointment, you agree to these Terms.
Appointments are requests
Submitting the booking form sends a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is only confirmed once we approve it and your deposit is received. We may decline or reschedule requests at our discretion.
Deposit
A $25 deposit is required to secure an approved appointment. The deposit is applied toward your total on the day of service. The deposit may be forfeited under the cancellation and late-arrival terms below.
Cancellations & rescheduling
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, may forfeit the deposit.
Late arrivals
Please arrive on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a reschedule and forfeit of the deposit.
Vaccinations
Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required for every pet. We may refuse service if proof cannot be provided.
Pricing
Prices listed are starting estimates. Final pricing depends on your pet's size, coat condition, matting, behaviour, and the time the groom requires. We'll always discuss any change before proceeding. De-matting and special-handling fees may apply.
Your pet's health & behaviour
- Please disclose any health conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural concerns when booking.
- For the safety of your pet and our groomer, we may stop or adjust a groom, or decline service, if a pet is in distress, aggressive, or unwell.
- Severely matted coats can hide skin issues and may require shaving; grooming such coats carries inherent risks that you accept by booking.
Photos
We may take photos of your pet and use them on our website and social media. Let us know if you'd prefer we don't.
Liability
We take great care with every pet. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the cost of the grooming service provided. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
